This piece was deeply inspired by my experience of Iceland’s ‘Midnight Sun’ whilst travelling there in 2017. Between May 21 and July 30 the sun barely sets in the evening, creating a slightly unsettling but also beautiful and mysterious atmosphere. Around the summer solstice (June 21st), the sun is visible for the full twenty four hours in the Westfjords and North Iceland.
